Yay. Everyone should have the right to marry anyone else. My only problem is the public displays of affection, but I'm uneasy with any kind of PDA gay, straight, or whatever lol. but thats just me.

just trying to establish an understanding between feeling uncomfertable about something and knowing that the discomfert you feel is your own problem and not others around you.

I say yay. In this life, one has to gain every modicum of happiness one can find, and to be denied the same means of attaining that joy the rest of us feel... it's just not fair.

The people who don't condone same-sex marriage don't do so because they see it as withholding joy, though. They are so sure that marriage is the sole indicator of a legitimate, loving relationship. They have myopic views of what is legitimate, and feel if they can keep homosexuals from getting that scrap of state-approved paper, they can "prove" the illegitimacy of same-sex relationships.

What does it matter whether I'm cool with it? If two people want to get married, it's none of my business what sex, race or age they are (as long as they're both adults, obviously).

I'm in favor of every individuals right to freedom of choice and personal happiness. Same sex marriages don't hurt anyone, and denial of rights to "life partners" of any description, is prejudicial. The law needs to provide for changing values, choices, and circumstances, that are personal in nature.

So . . . Yea!

I am with you on this!

As folks like to discuss what rights gays should be permitted maybe can we review the rights that blacks and women have too.

Fuck, there is so much stupidity out there!

Definitely yay. I'm all for it. In fact, I don't understand why anyone is against it. If it makes you personally uncomfortable, that's fine, but why try to base the law on what you like or don't like? It's not hurting anyone.

The other day I heard a man in Target say, "I know the Constitution says all men are created equal, but I think straight men are just created MORE equal."
