I think the same thing was found at an ATM at my school. There was several e-mails that went out and the Linux User Group went wild over it. Weird.

Doesn't it seem weird that the most common acronym for groups of Linux users/enthusiasts is the same as the dreaded Lesbian Until Graduation phenomenon? I mean, this is one of those things you'd think they'd catch on to.

Who am I kidding, they probably like it that way.

I don't think most Linux users even know what the other acronym means (given that computer acronyms fill up the heads of most of us anyways). I would have said LUG but then I realized that most people assume that to be the other acronym...

My solution to this is to use a teller whenever possible to take money out. That way you
1) keep someone employed.
2) can't spend money on impulse purchases( going to the bar and buying drinks for all your new"friends").
3) fuck up the paper trail that "they"use to monitor you.
4) not need to worry about this kind of thing.
I whip out the credit card if it's an emergency when the banks are shut.
Still,I do admire the ingenuity of these theives.

Interesting idea, but as someone who works for a bank in InfoSec, I can tell you there are MUCH easier ways to steal ATM or Credit Card info. robot

If they really want to take the whole $100 out of my account, and they're savvy enough to rig up one of these devices, they can have it.
