OK. I've tried my luck at Google, and CNET, and Tucows, and I'm coming up short. I'm looking for a good program to use for downloading from binary newsgroups. What I'm looking for would have the following features:

ability to use multiple channels on multiple servers
ability to download one [multipart] post from multiple servers at once
ability to search across all subscribed newsgroups at once.

I've tried Powergrab, but it only supports one server.

Multiple servers is important to me, because I use news.cox.net, and it only supports four simultaneous connections. However, if you use news.central, news.east, and news.west, you can grab four connections from each for a maximum of 12.

I tried Newsbin Pro, but it keeps overflowing the maximum number of connections no matter how many times I tell it FOUR, plus it doesn't have the global search, nor the ability to grab the same file from multiple servers automatically.

GrabIt works okay, except for it doesn't automate the same file/multiple servers process.

Binary News Reaper has almost all the functions I'm looking for, but it's clunky and seems fragile, and it lacks the global search feature. But it is blindingly fast, so I may stick with it.

Any geeks out there got a suggestion?

Thanks. I only ask here because I know there must be 10,000 fellow poor, young, tech savvy people with unscrupulous views on copyright law on here. Anyone?

I've tried loads of readers, but the best one I've found is Xnews. And it's free!. I havn't tried to connect to multiple servers but I'm sure the site will tell you if that's possible.

Nah, Xnews was the first one I used. It can handle multiple servers, but it doesn't even support more than one channel per server.
