Julie Benz fans know her by name, but to a host of others, she's "that girl from..." She's played major roles in popular projects, if not a marquee name herself. InBuffy, the Vampire Slayer and its spinoffAngel, she was a powerful vampire, Darla, who turned Angel in the first place. OnDexter, she's been the title character's loving girlfriend, and now wife, Rita. You may have also seen her in Rambo, Saw V, Jawbreaker or As Good As It Gets.
I have to admit I have a little crush on her. Even as a complete bitch on Angel, I thought she was awesome. Took me a couple of episodes of Dexter to get past Darla, but the thought of her strutting around in 6" stilettos is reason enough to see the movie.
i haven't been watching dexter, so to me she's still darla. so i can totally take the badass woman role from her, because that's what she's been to me.
even when i see her on random other shows i go "HEY!! DARLA!!" lol.
darla was awesome and badass but still delicate and feminine, so this new role will be interesting. she can totally pull it off though.
