Learn the 8 Rules of Fight Club.

In the underground world of Fight Club, the fight isn't over until someone goes limp, taps out, or is beaten. Immerse yourself in this gritty, visceral world of bare-knuckle fighting, with action, story elements and environments true to the Fight Club movie. The extreme realism of the game will make you feel every punch and kick by delivering shocking visuals, untraditional moves, and special effects in fully interactive environments.

He approved the Hollywood movie of his book right? Logical progression to me.

Man. You would think the video game possibilities for that movie would be long past, but I guess not.
I'm sure it'll suck...bad! blackeyed

damn it! I was starting to like Vivendi Universel too, with The Simpsons: Hit & Run, and Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter (starring Hank Rollins). But there's really no legitimate reason for this game to be made, honestly.
Anyone doubt that there's gonna be alot of bad voice acting, and a cheesy metal/nu-metal/gansta rap soundtrack?

They are so out of ideas, that they create a game named after a book and movie, and yet, you just know it will have nothing to do with either.

Sad, ain't it?

edit: it was social commentary...a good book turned into a good movie...
how could they possibly put social commentary into video game form, and keep true to what palahniuk was trying to say?!
bad. bad. bad. bad. bad. bad. bad.
please, god...no thank you.

So, if I win a round in Fight Club does my character get to have wild sex with Helena Bonham Carter? And if so, will they leave in the "I haven't been fucked like that since grade school" line?

I'm also wondering if you have Tyler fight Jack in the game, how can either one actually win?

Personally, I'm waiting for the Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas video poker game, or maybe the 100 Years Of Solitude MMORPG.

if Rockstar Games* made it, I can say that it would have been the complete fucking shit! You could beat some ass in a fight, and then break into the plastic Surgery Clinic's garbage and truck a bunch of fat home to make explosives and then go blow up buildings in LA. how fun would that be? It would be like a themed version of State of Emergency. Where you're not really trapped into missions or anything. Your only goal is to get fucked up, fight and blow shit up. Maybe your secondary goal would be to convince as many people as possible to join fight club, but by doing it totally subversive methods.

I'd buy that game. the actual one will probably suck.

I heard about this from chuck's site before it was really official. At first i thought it would have been a cool project mayhem/G.T.A. game. But those screen shots look terrible.

And the reason why the idea for the game is shit:

1. "It's not about winning or losing". Hence the basic Idea of the game is shit.

Chuck's official opinion is that he has no opinion. His basic rule about all this is that after he does his part in the making of the book, his job is done. That's why he didn't write his own screenplay (although it did come out good) and that's why this happened.

Fuck videogames anyway

In hindsight, I can't imagine anything more devastatingly perfect for Fight Club cultists to be shown how easily it could be turned into a videogame. But that's just the snark talking.

Does the control panel have a homoerotic overtone setting? Based on the pics on the site, I'm guessing the default is "Robert Mapplethorpe".

i'll probably buy it... i always thought it would be a good idea ever since i saw the movie. i can't lie. it better be good. the screenshots don't look that bad considering how shitty some games look.

idea, though. thats the word.

although personally I can't wait until The Getaway 2 comes out.

ok i'm done videogame-nerding-out for the night. g'night y'all.
