besides that freaky shit japans pretty cool. they have this heaven and hell themed restuarant, tw stories. heaven is the second floor and hell is the first.

I think its more like a jump suit. Look close at the palms and how featureless it is, and the wrinkles in the wrist.

if you go the website you can see other 'girls' they're a full jump suit i think... i don't know why though.

and I have a really fucked up story about something that happend to me in japan, for the sake of everybodys sanity I am not gonna tell it here, suffice it to say this experiance scarred me for life.

The Japanese are a far more visually oriented culture than even we are. Kanji themselves are pictographic letters. When the language is written in pictograms, it stands to reason that as a culture, they have a huge affinity for visual communication, hence the popularity of Manga on everything from anime websites to police cars, and even seemingly more outlandish things than that, as the picture above shows. It's really only strange and creepy to someone who didn't grow up in a culture as heavily steeped in and maybe obsessed with visual communication.

What is wrong with the Japanese' sexuality? Is there something wrong with just fucking each other? Do you have to have all these accessories? Is sex that boring or something? Have all those exams in high school finally turned everyone insane? Because I know Korea has just as many exams as Japan and they're not the world industry leader of scat porn.

I live here and I don't think it's an "odd" place, just a bit overly formal and repressive sometimes... you have the image that you present everyone else, and then you have an "inner self" that you let very few people (or maybe nobody) know about. We do this to some extent in all cultures but Japan takes it to an extreme. And some people I guess _really_ like to explore their inner selves. But if it makes them happy and it's not hurting anyone, who cares.

On the other hand, when I see people reading manga porn on the train in full view of little kids or anyone else who might happen to see it, I guess that registers on my WTF meter a little bit.

okay, people are taking this as a criticism of japan, it's not. i'm quite hip to japan - thus how i found this site. however, there is no other country in the world where you gonna find people dressing up as Belldandy or an animated traffic cop in a latex body suit. in that sense japan is nuts and different.

Why is it their sexuality that is fucked up? Nothing wrong with 'just fucking each other' they do that too but they have so many layers of a thing. Example in north america, there is prostitution, different layers ok.. "but you pays your money you gets your sex" over there.. the guy pays his money but there is no guarentee of (penis vaginal) sex. It's all about the chase, the guy pays for the flirting, the laughing at his jokes, the light familiar touching of his forearm, the attention to his empty glass and unlit cigarette. He pays for sensuality not sex.

Differnt yes, but no one has to be WRONG.

and yeah I do speak from experience, I lived there for 5 years.

P.S. re-korea they have other worries at the moment. Put them in peace time and see what happens. Cultures get creative and decadent.

I would totally walk around with one of those masks on just to scare the crap out of people. If someone gets me one I will love them forever.
