campy good fun much like the hammer films.

yea...its one of the better ones. but i doubt this movie will amount to it.

I'm hoping for the best. Universal is the studio behind it and I'm hoping they won't soil the good name of their monsters by putting them in a train-wreck of a film, but since we are dealing with Hollywood it very well may happen.

The best I'm hoping for is that Van Helsing will revive interest in the Universal Monsters once again and we'll start seeing more of them in films to come.

Another of my concerns is that this movie is going to kick ass and they'll want to make more but have already used the higher echelon of their monsters in this one. Imagine a part 2 where he's hunting down the Gillman from Creature From the Black Lagoon, Quasimodo and the Phantom of the Opera. I would have preferred seeing Van Helsing vs. Dracula in this one and if it's a success then having him hunt down the other two in follow up films.

Anyway, being how I get erect for everythng Frankenstein I will be there opening night hoping I'll enjoy myself for the next 2 hours.
