I read that Jackson was interested in doing the Hobbit, but his next film is going to be a remake of King Kong

I would like to think that Alien vs. Predator won't suck
but. . . um. . . . . .we'll see I guess
(watch me end up liking it due to my low low low expectations for it)

Shrek 2. . . .would have a chance of being decent, if the ending to the first one didn't suck, gauranteeing the sequel to be more suck.

Kill Bill 2?. . .I still have to see the first one

Mask 2?. . . . .no. . . . .no more jim carrey sequels without jim carrey. . . stop trying. . .it's been too long anyway. . .I wouldn't watch a sequel even if he WAS in it

Spiderman 2. . . .even without the Nickelback guy I know not to watch this

Yeah, Butterfly Effect can kiss my ass. That looks fucking wretched.
I couldn't wait to see what they did with I, Robot, but then I found out it stars Will Smith.
I can't wait for Lars Von Trier's Dogville, if only to see what kind of asshat would film a polemic against American life without ever having experienced it.
I might like to see Mean Girls, from House of Yes director Mark Waters.
The one I am nearly pissing my pants to see though, is Hero, from Shang Yimou, who did "Ju Dou" and "Raise the Red Lantern." wink

Knowing, the new movie from the director of Donnie Darko. It's only in pre-production now, so it may not be released this year, but it sure would be nice if it was.

If you want the movie to be a total unknown to you, do not click the link below or look it up on imdb. It does not give away any twist, but it does reveal what the concept will be.

What's interesting about Sky Captain is that the writer-director got the gig because he had developed cutting-edge CGI software allowing the movie to be shot almost entirely with a blue screen - no location shooting, no production design.

I love the geekiness of this, but what's strange is that nothing I've read so far mentions anything about his technical background (he was in the film program at Cal-Arts) and I'd expect someone who could cook up something like that (alone!) to have had many years of software development under their belt.

In terms of its look and mood, it's a little like The Rocketeer, no?

Kerry Conran is said to have got his movie made by impressing the socks off Aurelio De Laurentiis when showing Aurelio the fruit of some unique bespoke animation software our Kerry had cooked up. Said application creates an utterly complete CGI model storyboard, this 3D model then being combined with detailed illustrations and blue screened actors to churn out the final digital cut.

Transcription of an LA Times Article on making the movie (takes a while to load)

I've been hearing this Shaun of the Dead title bandied about and just the name alone makes me a little reticent. But then I've been hearing rumblings of the Return of the Living Dead series being revived, so that puts things into perspective a bit.

I'm really not looking forward to anything, I guess. One Million Years B.C. comes out on DVD in March. I guess I'll just stick with that.
