I am a huge fan of picking up random books at the library. A few years ago I found one that I should have kept track of, but didn't. This novel centered around a woman who organized an unusual protest. Some government big-wig killed his wife or lover and our heroine called for his removal from office. In support of this demand, women all over the country refused to sleep with their male S.O.'s, resulting in much hilarity and several death threats. I found it so bizarre and funny I'd love to re-read it. Please help me remember the title if you can. Thanks!

No idea, but it sounds like its kind of based on the ancient Greek play The Lysistrata by Eurpides....that might help?

The only book written that's worth a damn is Bunnicula! Everyone knows that!

Vampire rabbit....sucking the juices out of all the vegetables in the house and it's up to a dog and cat, which are natural enemies, to put aside their differences and save the family from this unholy terror!

Nicely done. I could only think of Lysistrata myself.

Just to be pedantic (I seem to say that a lot), Lysistrata is by Aristophanes.

Yeah, it sounds like this book is based on the Lysistrata.

The unfortunate thing is that it's quite difficult to get a good translation of it. But try! Funny stuff.

'The Celery Stalks at Midnight' was just as good, if not better.
