A few times in my life, I've not only talked in my sleep but had actual conversations with people. It freaks me out when people say to me: "Dude, what were you talking about this morning?" and then tell me about how I told them that the dogs were all barking out in the shed when they asked if there were any cornflakes. Mostly I don't have conversations and just say the random things that pop into my subconscious. Or so I'm told. Anyone else talk in their sleep?

Yes I do. I'm real quiet while I'm awake, I seem to to make up for it when I'm asleep. Roomates have said I wake up in the middle of the night and start whaling on them with them with pillows, girls say I yell, sing, or spell out words in my sleep.

not me but...

Nic said, whilst asleep, 'do you think there are three burning stars?'.
she actually managed to wake me, then ask, all whilst asleep- which was weird.

i told her to fuck off.

Oh, and i was on a school trip to france, and one of the girls screamed in her sleep, which she did all the time apparently. it was spooky dooky.

So far i've been told I blurt out strange quips, drink 3 bottles of water, eat in front of an open fridge while sitting on the floor, drink others' coffee, punch numbers on a "keypad"... and go back to sleep.

i've heard from several people that i do it constantly. and once on a long bus ride home from a third shift job i had a conversation with this crazy old lady the whole time. she said my eyes were open and everything. she thought i was a girl she had gone to college with and i was talking to her like i was. whatever

edited to take out the word apparently cause; eerily; almost everyone said it in their post somewhere.

Here is a funny story:

When my brother was about twelve or so, he was really sick with a high fever for days. One night he was crashed out on the couch and my mother was puttering around in the kitchen when she heard him mutter something.

Upon entering the living room she heard him say the following:

"We're all out of mayonnaise."

"What?" she asked.

"We're all out of mayonnaise," he repeated.

We teased him for years about that.

I'm known to scream and yell in my sleep. Witnesses say that I often seem to be fighting Nazis. God only knows.

I also have the ability to converse while in my sleep. My roommate freshman year would have long conversations with me while I was sleeping, and he couldn't tell the difference. I apparently also helped him solve some o-chem and linear algebra problems like that.
