The best beer I know of in Washington, and my personal favorite is Alaskan Amber. It is a darker beer, but is a little sweeter than most. I also find that Amber Bock is a real good beer. Me, I am a dark beer kinda guy if you couldn't tell.

Beer is for fatties. Whiskey is the only drink of the true outdoorsman.

Yuengling, Leinenkugel, Yards, Stoudt's are all good local beers in different states.

Hoegaarden, Franziskaner, Paulaner, Sapporo, Asahi are some good imported beers.

Turbo Dog when I'm down South. Kokanee when I'm slumming the snowboard hills of the northwest. Iron City when I can find it. Bock Im Stein when I'm in Europe and can find it. Kirin with sushi. Red Stripe with Caribbean or Cajun food. PBR if I'm dive barring. Haystack Black or Obsidian Stout if I'm in the mood for something thicker than motor oil. Dos Equis when I'm doing something Mexican. Moose Drool when I'm back home. Hefeweizen of any sort from the tap if I'm doing a working lunch. Rolling Rock and Heineken are my fallback positions if all of the above fail.

Or I just head straight to the bourbon.

Let me break it down for you on a weekly schedule:

Monday: Guinness (Why you ask, because it is better than coffee)
Tuesday: Guinness again (because Mondays really suck and Tuesday's aren't much better)
Wednesday: Carlsburg (because it is lighter than Guinness)
Thursday: Newcastle Brown Ale (fuck it it is almost the weekend)
Friday: Greene King (because you can't resist it, it is so good)
Saturday: Anything cheap because you are broke and the night must last long
Sunday: coffee lots of fucking coffee
