"I constantly want to feel like I'm in danger," says author and screenwriter Diablo Cody during our interview. This statement reveals a lot when you consider Cody's resume. She punctuated a rather mundane series of office jobs by moonlighting as a stripper, phone sex worker, and a peep show girl. While still working for "the man" she documented her experiences in the sex industry in a very public space -- a popular blog called Pussy Ranch. Subsequently she penned a full-blown memoir, entitled Candy...

Honestly, I was already gonna go see this movie. Now, I am just more certain that I SHOULD go support a movie addressing these issues.

GREAT interview with a GREAT lady. I am demanding my man take me to see Jennifer's Body for my birthday. Don't know if I could get him to go otherwise (he thinks it's just another stoopid teen slasher flick), but I have a feeling we'll both love it.

I saw JENNIFER'S BODY today. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it more than I expected, because I really hated the screenplay. Great premise but little character development and not enough raising of the stakes, etc.

But what I found lacking on the page, the actors - especially Amanda Seyfried - really brought some emotional depth to the characters.

I even thought Megan Fox was good, particularly in one brief scene...

Overall, it's entertaining, though I still have some problems with the movie, stemming from my thoughts on the script.

That said, I do like Diablo Cody and I wish her and director Karyn Kusama continued success.

This interview is Great!

Diablo Cody has a really unique way of showing her view of how reality is in her movies. She brings real emotion to the characters that you can relate with that is different from other ScreenWriters. Especially during the sex scene with Needy and Chip, everyone has had that awkward moment. When I was in the theater everyone was giggling of embarrassment because they could relate to that.

She's incredibly talented and I can't wait to see more of her work.

Anyone that hasn't seen the movie or anyone that has seen it ...
you should definitely read Cody's point of view and see it again. Makes it much more interesting and enjoyable!!

I really want to see the writer's cut of Juno and can't wait to see Jennifer's Body when it comes out in Australia. I wasn't interested in reading DC's book when I saw it at the bookstore but now I actually think I might go and buy it. She seems a lot more interesting and intelligent in an interview than on the blurb.
Also, Adam Brody is definitely my dreamboat so I can't wait to see him in JB.
