I won't be satisfied until we've seen all the continents together. We're at 3 so far.

I still regret never going to Georgia before shit hit the fan over there. Their food is DELICIOUS.

Also, I hear rumors that you can't get into certain Arab countries if you have Israeli stamps in your passport. I haven't been able to confirm or refute this; does anyone have experience with such things? I've always wanted to go to Lebanon and to Jordan to see Petra before it erodes away.

I have no personal experience, but I've heard that too. According to this it might in fact be a problem.

This is true. I have several work contacts who travel the region for business. Here's how I think it works. You would be wise to request a 2nd passport and note clearly on the application that it's an"application for a second valid passport" so your current passport doesn't get canceled. In your letter, you need to include reasons why you need the second passport, list the countries, specific dates of travel, etc. I'm not sure how much time to allow for this. I think the 2nd limited passport is valid for only 2 years. They're granted for business for sure, but I think general tourism too. You may want to check into what wording is best to use on the application. You can easily find a list of countries which will be problematic for you to visit. The best idea is to contact your regional Israeli Consulate for the best advice.

If you don't bother to get a 2nd passport, it may be advisable to make Isreal the last country in your tour. Even if they don't put the entrance stamp into your visa, it can sometimes pose problems if you have exit stamps at the Israeli border which would allow people to easily deduce that you had entered Israel. In either situation, never mention visiting Israel at any of the Arab border crossings for any of the restricted countries. Advisable to hide the 2nd limited passport and obvious souvenirs.
