Ok, so I really try not to buy into movie hype but I've been hearing so much about Avatar for so long that I think I'd gotten a little too excited for it.

The trailer is now avaliable on Apple's site but, while I'm still excited and definitely planning on seeing it, nothing really seemed groundbreaking, it just looks like a cool sci-fi/fantasy flick. granted a lot of the excitement has been focused on its new 3D technology but after seeing Coraline and a few other flicks in 3D its cool, but doesn't seem overly "game changing" to me.

Anyways, still a few months for the hype to reinfect me, here's hoping Cameron can create another film classic, its been too long.

I take back what I said about this movie possibly being over-hyped.

While the realism of the CGI isn't what I had hoped for - the movie still looks awesome.

I'm moist with anticipation.

Wait, this is not the movie based on the cartoon Avatar? I'm so confused.

Also, I wish people would quit using Papyrus font. I'm so sick of it.

Why do the aliens look they're from Delgo?

Yeah, I'm sort of with you on this. The CGI looked too obvious at times, but overall the film looked pretty damn good.

The CGI doesn't look much better than a Final Fantasy movie. But I love the environment and tech designs, I think they look way better than the characters do.

And ditto on the Papyrus! A budget like that and they couldn't hire a logo designer...

I'm waiting to see what Jim does with 'Battle Angel'

Looks like a PS3 game.

FACT! But more so the those cinema scenes in video games.
