If the new film Moon puts you in mind of David Bowie's lyrical, space-is-a-lonely-place ballad, "Space Oddity," that's probably not a total coincidence - it was directed by his 38 year-old son, Duncan Jones, who formerly went under the much less conservative name, Zowie Bowie. After years of directing commercials and trying to move on from what he describes as a youth marked by isolation and periods of self-discovery, Jones has emerged with a new identity as a respected indie filmmaker.

I'm really excited for this to hit San Diego next weekend.

I saw the movie last night. And it was soooooooo good. The interview does give alot away though.
I suggest everyone see it.

I've been so excited for this movie since the trailer came out online. I'm hoping that it gets a mass release so I can actually watch it on the big screen instead of my tv but I doubt that Here in Regina (middle of effing nowhere) Canada slot of indie movies I love havnt seen the theater. Either way, the movie looks great!

I did end up seeing it, and it was one of the best films of the summer.

I missed this when it came through New Zealand as part of film festivals. I'd love see it eventually. I also really dig the Duncan Jonesiverse idea.

Awesome. He made the best sci-fi film I've seen in ages.
