I've never heard of the director, but do you honestly think she read the script and said, "Damn! That has blockbuster written all over it! I must direct this"? Same thing with the actors. I can ask the same about Anaconda, Kangaroo Jack, The Spice Girls Movie.....so many more.

according to imdb, this woman has directed a bunch of movies that not enough people have see to comment on. but it's odd that she directed this junker, as all of the movies she's directed (at least those with available synopses) are little indie jobs about african-american lesbians.

All 2004 needs is a movie where a black guy and a white guy, who would normally never associate under normal circumstances, come together to achieve a common goal and start off hating each other and not understanding one another... ultimately resulting in love and greater racial understanding.

Required scenes: the car radio scene, the scene where the white guy says something in ebonics and it sounds ridiculous

one would think after all the accolades that he recieved from the "power strip" commercials he would have known he could never top himself, call it quits, and ride into the sunset.
