Let me tell you the story about my Sea Monkies:

I ordered some out of the back of a comic book when I was a kid. I grew them. Many died. It was horrible carnage and dissapointment. Afterwords, I put the "tank" under the sink and left it.

Months later, for some reason, I attempted to "grow" another batch. My mother and I brought out the old "tank", filled it with water and the eggs and waited.

And suddenly, the next day, there were Sea Monkies everywhere! And a week later, there were MORE!

My old Sea Monkies - who had turned all dried out and crusty on the tank's plastic bottom, were resurrected with the addition of fresh water!

I felt like Jesus.

And then they all died again.

community sea monkey collectives are great... your friends and other people that hang out with you can all be kept in line and tempted not too seriously annoy anyone... for those who get out of line in some respect can be punished by letting them unknowingly drink a glass of water with a sea monkey or five in it... or something like that.

a friend of mine had a roommate who had sea monkeys... there was this guy that we didn't like much who was always hanging out with us and for some reason we couldn't just tell him to get lost. we were plotting against him... a glass of water with sea monkeys... and a few days later he'd notice this other guy's sea monkeys were missing and ask what happened to them. and we'd tell him what happened to them. but it never came down to such drastic measures.

a two inch long sea monkey? holy shit. the largest of the ones we had were only about 1/8" to 3/16" long.
