Hey Dude was awesome as was Salute Your Shorts, I used to think Butnick was cute. And I knew a girl in high school who was dating the guy that played Donkeylips. Did you know that the guy that played Butnick was in a band called "Bad for Good" my uncle has their CD. hahaha.

Yes, Bad4Good. About ten years ago I was visiting my aunt in Chicago and she took us to the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch. The place was decorated with Bad4Good flyers because they were going to play there that night. About twenty minutes after we sat down, a big table near us filled up with lots of rock 'n roll adults and two kids: Danny (Cooke? Cooksey?), whom I recognized from the later years of "Diff'rnt Strokes," and his girlfriend. We I got home a few days later I told all of my friends that I'd seen the redheaded kid from TV. Only about 3 years ago did I learn that he was in B4G.

Salute Your Shorts was the best... I spent many an afternoon watching that show as a child. I would buy it on DVD for sure.

I could possibly die a happy man with DVD copies of 'Salute Your Shorts' and 'Pete and Pete'.

Clarissa Explains It All ended when Hart got pregnant, apparently not a good role model for young girls at that time. I saw Pete and Pete on Sat.TV there was some NICK channel it was on.

I remember the Marc Summers Halloween special with Lance Burton back in the day. That was awesome. Then he invented National Talk Like A Pirate Day!

Erik is Bananaman.

I went to high school with the little guy 'Sponge' I think his name was Tim. He got a lot of shit for being on that show... and he was nothing like his character.

This thread make me feel old. I have no idea what you all are talking about.

Where's the "You Can't Do That On Television" thread?

The fact I can bearly remember anything concrete from any of the episodes besides what some of the girls looked like and the intro and the cafeteria guy hasen't kept this mention of it from sending major nostalgia shivers up my spine.

I'm talking about the old skool ycdtotv that started in 79'. I'm talking about Moose! That's all I remember from nick as a kid. Alright, I'll spot you Clarissa, but I only know this one cause I dated a sophomore when I was a senior.

i've watched a ton of pete & pete in the past year, and it still rocks. if anything, i like it more.

you've got iggy pop as a dorky suburban dad. what more could you want?

i could want michael stipe as an ice cream salesman... or syd straw as a schoolteacher, or chris elliot as a psychic meterman, or janeane garafolo as a teacher, or frank gifford as himself, or juliana hatfield as a lunch lady, or david johansen as a cop or forest ranger or something like that, or adam west as the principle of a junior high...

and with pete & pete i get it all... i have three tapes full of pete and pete episodes and now i can't find them. i'm gonna panic. if they ever got released on dvd, i would buy the whole set.
