I for one am thankful as I was unaware this set existed until I saw this article.

I thought the book was fantastic but I think the Movie brought a lot more to the table. I even think the story is told a little better in the movie. If you listen to the commentary with Chuck, you will hear him make mention of not thinking of some of the stuff that was in the movie that he should have. He sounds very pleased what was done with his book.

Now, Queen of the Damned... whew, that's something to bitch about. I'm not sure they even read that book first.
