This is the first footage I've seen from it and they got the look and feel just right. Finally, something to rival Metropolis!

Weren't the Max Fleisher Superman's great? So ahead of their time, and so, so pretty to look at. Great stuff!

You all may also appreciate the old comic book Airboy that was put out by Eclipse Comics in 1986 (though Airboy dates back to the early 50's). Aiboy's jet, "Birdie," has a very similar look to the planes that were chasing after Sky Captain in the preview. Very cool stuff that never really caught on. But at least the back issues are cheap...

OH MY SG FRIENDS!!!!!!!

This is ONE INCREDIBLE FILM - totally retro, utterly charming, Jolie with that - shiver - patch, a NEW Republic serial!

For me, anything that has Lawrence Olivier back from the dead to be the head villian (via clips worked into the film from MARATHON MAN) is worth at least twice the admission cost!

Will be looking for reactions when this neo-classic comes out wide..........

i canot effing wait for this movie. everything but the actors is cgi, which is an amazing feat in itself. i've got a somewhat sick fascination with WWII era military technology, so this just makes me want to cream my jeans... sorry, that was vulgar.
