I actually thought the movie did an over-all better job. The ending change actually made it better, in my opinion. While they toned down a few things, like Rorschach with the psychiatrist and Silk Spectre's hatred of the Comedian, both changes I disliked, I felt the over-all treatment of the comic book was superb.
Also, I loved the music, a ton of stuff to bring you back to the decade they were from. I even enjoyed the Hallelujah. Someone said they felt the comic book made it very much about her falling for a human as opposed to a God, and I felt the use of the Song actually worshipped the fact that it was 2, very imperfect, humans.
I didn't think the movie improved on the comic or brought anything new to the table, but as an adaptation it worked nicely. There were some beautiful and powerful shots, but most of the cool shit in the movie should be credited to Moore, not Snyder. Rating: satisfactory+!
Not by any stretch of the imagination. However, I don't usually go out of my way to inundate my brain with violent images. We get enough of that on a daily basis without even having to look for it.
What really bothered me was all the violence against women in the movie, which is something you could NEVER fully understand from a woman's perspective. No one expects you to, though.
