I think the "final five" might just be five of the surviving ancient Earth Cylons that at one point revealed themselves to the modern Cylons. There could be more of them. I imagine there must be some left on Earth who sent Starbuck back to the fleet.

The Cylons do still have one of Starbuck's ovaries, so it's possible they made a daughter/clone thing. However, the way Leoben reacted when he saw the extra crispy version of Starbuck means he probably didn't have anything to do with it (and they probably paid the missing gonad thing off when he tricked her into thinking she had a daughter).

I like gdarklighter's first theory the most.

I always found him pretty annoying, even before he was pure evil, that's why I never watched those webisodes.

Starbuck, on the other hand, just got awesome again! Woo!

And Baltar has been laying low this season but I KNOW they must have big plans for him and I can't wait to find out what his ultimate role is.
