I just found this recent article while googling about "breast mechanics."

In an innovative piece of research, (Dr. Joanna) Scurr placed 60 female volunteers on treadmills to create the largest scientific study into breast bouncing during exercise.

She believes her research will lead to the creation of the ultimate sports bra – and eliminate the age-old problem of breast pain among sportswomen.

She said: "Breast pain can be a real barrier to women doing exercise. Yet sports science has always been dominated by men and for them, studying breasts is seen as slightly laughable.

"For women, though, it is completely credible as they can see the benefits. The idea of bouncing breasts makes people laugh nervously, but this is an important subject."

Full Story.

Good on Dr. Scurr for finally helping out women with exercise. I hope to see her product hit the shelves as soon as possible.

I wish I was an intern during that study.

Also, the thread title is the name of my new band.

The idea of bouncing breasts makes me do many things, but laughing nervously is not one of them.

It should be called the Paul Nikon Institute.

Wow! They even have an option for FF/G sizes!

(I've never seen a sports bra with that cup size before--the largest I've seen is an E. Now if they have that cup size in a 28 band size I'll be all set.)

I'm surprised it has taken so long for practical application studies to be done into breast movement. The video game industry has been studying the physics of breast movement for ages.

Huh. I just remembered I saw a website just like this one years and years ago. Not sure if it was actually the same one. I investigated back then too. Still have yet to find a sportsbra that fits. Nevermind one that helps.

Don't make fun. Sore boobs and backs and stuff is no joke.

Even if the bouncing on that site is. wink
