why, you ask?
-i could use $100

Bacon will never hurt you.

Or give you up, let you down, or tell you lies.

I bet you could do it...the next day would be truly horrible, but I don't think you would die...it can't be any worse than those gigantic texas steak challenges

Eating too much bacon can kill you, FYI.

By my calculations, that's about seven or eight pounds of meat. Almost twice as much as one of those 72oz steaks that they eat during those challenges.

On the other hand, those challenges involve one sitting, rather than eating throughout the day.

that's what I was thinking...you have to do the steak challenges in 4-5 hours and it would also depend on the cookedness of the bacon. Really crispy bacon would be way easier than chewy bacon...you are talking like 30,000 calories though. (I am putting a lot of thought into this bacon thing! )

I'm intrigued, and I certainly want to know the results of this experiment.

I don't know if you'll die (I sure hope not) but I'm almost positive that you'll (at least) throw up. That much grease is sure to fuck you up. Be careful w/ this.

Pretty good sodium load. Drink a lot of water.

It's certainly not healthy, but it won't kill you. I read a story recently about a guy that ate a 15 pound burger. As long as you pace yourself, drink lots of water, and go to the bathroom regularly then it'll go right through you.

Of course, I'm not a doctor, so if you do die, uh, I don't know you.

yeah, the bet's off if i puke. but i think i might try anyway. i figure as long as i dont take dramamine to reduce vomiting, i'll puke it out before dying.

bacon = about 13 fat calories per strip

300 strips (5 grams each) = 4000 calories of fat = about a pound and a half of mostly fat.

All bets are off as to how much your body will hate you after horking down that much fat.

Whatevs, she can burn all of those calories by biking 160 miles; which is something she'll definitely want to do after eating 7-8 lbs of bacon.

I think the main benefit to her here is that she's been given 12 hours to complete this feat. That's 25 strips of bacon every hour; one roughly every other minute. Totally doable.

enough salt can kill you, but i dont know if this bacon is salty. i think you might end up in the hospital if you dont check your heart rate and if you dont drink enough water, besides that maybe just a full "hurt" belly puke

I don't think it's worth it for just $100 . Maybe $500 . I would also insist that it's left to sit on paper towels or something else to draw off the excess grease after cooking before you eat it . All that grease could be more of a problem then just the meat itself .
