A new comic strip appeared a few years ago. It was static characters in karate poses saying some of the more bizarre things I’ve ever read. I guess I jumped on the bandwagon a little late because by September 2001 the strip had a name, My New Fighting Technique is Unstoppable, and David Rees was firmly ensconced in the world of web comic strips. Mnftiu, as the fans call it, is one of the hottest and funniest strips on the web.

Rees grew up in Chapel Hill North Carolina. He went to Oberland College...

I couldn't possibly be the first person to comment on this?? Well, fair enough. I just put a MNFTIU frame in my Profile, because I started reading it this week, and find it the second-funniest thing ever... the funny thing ever is Get Your War On, which I read for months now. I afraid they'd stop coming out, but it seems that go on as long as Georgy Bush motherfucking bomb other countries, and (sigh) don't look like gonna stop goddamn soon...

ps - I was going to correct my grammatical mistakes, but then realized-- in the spirit of the 'toons, I should add more grammatical mistakes and some swear words. Thank you.

I have never commented on a single interview since I've been on this site, but I had to stop and acknowledge that this was a great catch. David's insane ramblings kept me sane during impossible days in an office eerily similar to the one depicted in "Get Your War On." Good shit, DRE.

Yeah, the Village Voice ran a full page on this guys work about a month after 9/11, and you can see all of it for free at HERE. I really love his sense of humor it touches on the darker side of what I think most people felt like and conitune to feel like today.
