I'm lost

NOV 26, 2008 06:00 AM

At age 22, Lady GaGa (born Stefani Germanotta) has already written songs for Britney Spears and the Pussycat Dolls, gone number one in two countries and topped the iTunes chart with her debut album The Fame. Named after the Queen song "Radio Ga-Ga," she's also been accused of influencing the current sounds and visuals of another pop superstar, Christina Aguilera, who rocked a suspiciously GaGa-esque look at the MTV Video Music Awards and in recent promotional photographs. We spoke with this engaging...

I'm not entirely sold on her music yet, but I really enjoyed this interview. She's surprisingly articulate and handled the Christina thing quite graciously.

Thanks for the interview.

I just watched the video for pokerface. This girl has a solid future. If it's not Brittney, it would be Christina. If not Christina, then. . . . . . Sometimes a new performer is just refreshing.
I'll be buying the album tomorrow.

I saw Lady GaGa last year at Lallopalloza and immediately loved everything she was doing. It was definitely the go-go dancer aspect that made me come over to see her but her music was really good. I waited patiently for any of her music to be available and I am pretty sure that I was one of the few that was thrilled that she came out with the just dance ep.

I bought her full length album a couple of weeks ago and haven't stopped listening to it. I realize that her sound is very similar to Britney's and Christina's; maybe it my personal experience but I just seem to like her music better. It's awesome to see that she is getting "the fame" that she deserves. Pun intended.

I worked on Gaga's album(Recording Engineer). She is a wicked person, super talented and a true superstar. The connotations to her lyrics are like a breath of fresh air!
She is also a very quick writer, Its instinct for her, a true talent!
Watch this space!

I just heard of her a couple days ago (yes, i pretty much live under a rock when it comes to pop music). I haven't really heard anything other than her main hit but after reading the interview I'm going to have to check her out.

I love her album.

I've been considering choreographing a group act with some brilliant performers to her song "Poker Face".

I recently heard the album. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought I was going to hate it, I didn't love it but it was pretty good. I'm betting someday she will be great.

You're entitled to your opinion but they have almost nothing in common stylistically except blonde hair and falling under the big umbrella of pop music.
