Yeah, only the one million people that buy it in 2008 alone, and I guess the handful of people that made it the highest-selling graphic novel of all time over the last 20 years.

Still a shame, sister. As one of the few TRULY great books of this generation it should be ten times that. How many other stories, written or drawn, in the last thirty years have left you with the feeling you felt after finishing Watchmen? Those of you that have answers, let me know, because I'm tired of wearing out the cover of this book and being disappointed in this period's storytelling ability.

I don't get the chance to read too many comics, but I'm generally the go-to guy for knowledge about what characters are like in my little circle of friends. I'm hoping that when I get my money for the spring semester, I can take a bit of time to get a few classics to bone up on my comic lore: The Dark Knight Returns, Preacher, and especially The Man of Steel reboot of Superman. I'll cop to being a huge fan of Supes.

The Dancer Upstairs by Nicholas Shakespeare, Middlesex by Jeffery Eugenides, The Brief & Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz, anything by Edward Albee or John Irving.

eh, I liked Watchmen, but it didn't blow me away. I was really disappointed, because I had thought it was going to be awesome.

I've taken plenty of Literature courses. I said THIS generation. Once 1990 hit, all things aesthetic died. Art basically became non-existent; Music went to hell in a hand basket, and Literature started working glory holes at the 7-11. I know there are a few golden nuggets of corn in the cesspool, but what the hell happened?

Children also stopped respecting their parents, prices skyrocketed, and collars started popping.
