Anyone see this movie? About the Bobby Kent murder?
I didn't even know it was based on a book led alone a true story.
I saw it on IFC in full screen kinda sucked wanted widescreen.
I have to say Bobby's death is really shocking. What they did to him no one deserves.
It's been a while since I've seen it. I remember that I actually wanted to punch every character in the face at one point. I also remember that there was a lot of naked Rachel Miner and Bijou Phillips in some very underage looking sex scenes.

The movie sucked, but yeah, it was a pretty horrifying crime, actually. Even if the guy who died was a monumental dick, he didn't deserve that.
Yeah Bobby was a douchebag, Maybe he just needed his ass kicked bad.
Yup, I saw it, and I *think* I have it on DVD somewhere, it was on sale for like $ 0.99. The characters are kind of annoying sometimes, but the film is good to watch if you find yourself with some free time. J24U's description is pretty accurate.
There are a couple of really good reports out about the actual murder if you interested in learning more about the events the book and movie was based on. I like Investigative Reports's take on interviewing all the parties involved...of course it's sensationalize a bit, but I think they to a pretty good job of portraying the events with a clear reporting style.

I heard the murder scene was accurate.
Yea, I haven't seen the movie, but I did hear it was pretty accurate. I mostly just meant if you wanted to learn more about the real story...I think it' interesting to juxtapose the real people with the actors and the movie with the events.
Especially in a case that plays out like a sociological and psychological study in human interaction.
I liked it. The murder scene chilled me. "TURN OFF THOSE LIGHTS!" *WHACK WHACK WHACK*.
And people say they found the characters annoying, but I kept thinking about how they acted like people I went to high school with....and my ex-fiance's brothers, who are that kind of white-trash. I keep hoping to stumble over a copy, I've just been too lazy to seek it out.
The movie was insane, I thought it was really well acted, shot, etc. The end does leave you feeling pretty fucking disturbed so don't plan on doing anything fun afterward.
I loved this movie, but I will acknowledge it's flaws. The director is a bit of a pedo-perv I would say, but it is still a fascinating movie. And Brad Renfro...

But those two actress weren't underage at the time, right?
