LOST did kind of suck during the first half of season 3.
But it's a show if you watched from day one. You have to see how it ends.

Well to me it is! tongue

I got three episodes into Heroes, when I heard that cheerleader say "Oh Em Gee" in real life and gave up right there.

The 4400, after the season premiere of the second season.

That's all I can think of, I don't really watch much TV. Oh, about ten years ago I stopped watching Will and Grace because their Hispanic maid jokes were stupid and unfunny. This was before TiVo though when I watched a lot of bad television.

You're going to be disappointed. I was a fan of Alias, which was another JJ Abrams show with the same kind of mystery and plot twists, and it was never satisfactorily resolved.

This is why I've never seen an episode of Lost.

Technically JJ has nothing to do with the show now.
But he may be still a producer or something.

But you're probably right with how Fringe ends. I can see how that will jump the shark.

like X-Files did, It should've ended after season 6 or at least 7,

Lost (I just couldn't be bothered, as it appeared to be going nowhere after about seven episodes) and Prison Break (it should have ended after the first season).

I gave Heroes three episodes to suck me in and gave up. Although, the hubby thinks it's the best fucking show on Earth and I'm tempted to try again.

I just sort of said to myself "and they all lived happily ever after" at the end of season two. Try it it works. smile

Stupid site ate my comment.

Anyway ... the first two or three seasons of Alias kicked some serious ass and I never missed an episode. Then they got all weird, I lost interest, and stopped watching.

I can't think of any other shows that I always watched and then quit on.

I have seen every episode of both LOST and 24 since they premiered, and will probably watch faithfully until they go away.

True Blood. That sucked. And Stargate SG-1. I watched through all the various resurrections and the plot lines that were rehashed multiple times, but I couldn't finish the series after they replaced half the goddamn cast with a wave of their hands. Smallville.

The Office is definitely one that I quit watching. It was funny at first, but it became irritating. I gladly turned my back on that one.

Heroes. I loved the first two seasons, but now it's like the writers looked at Scott Summer's family tree and decided to make a plot that convoluted. I've given the 3rd season a shot, but...

I was really ready to give up on My Own Worst Enemy two weeks ago, but then I saw this weeks episode and am re-hooked. But I doubt that show will last more than this season.

All of them, many years ago. I recommend it. It's very liberating once one realizes the time recovered. I do occasionally see snippets at various friend's houses, so I am vaguely aware of what's out there.
