Talking to Arthur Nersesian is just like reading his novels, a mixture of raunchy humor and intelligence. We met at a Starbucks in the Lower East Side. He told me that the last time he met someone to do an interview for the web he ended up paying for the drinks they had. I told him not to worry about it, for someone that has written some of my favorite books I could pop for a Tazo iced tea and a latte.

I first discovered Nersesian’s books after walking by the Fuck-up in a store and thinking “Oh...

Nice! Fuck-up is sitting in my bathroom right now (er) for a 3rd read, bought it a while back just based on the name while out of town on bidness in dire need of entertainment.

this interview also just shows more reasons why I love SG!

your all wasting your time, the Fuck-up was just a piddle in the puddle of literature turned out by Nersesian...Dog-Run was fucking amazing, Manhatten Loverboy fucking phenomenal, Chinese Takeout, thoughtfully prosed. I'm not going to pass the time and explain every little intricate detail of every novel I've consumed by Nersesian, but I will say, if you pick up the battered copies of Fuck-Up floating about and never read another by him, you are eccentually missing out on the process and creation of a legendary author in our own existance...

Sarcastic wit abound=Arthur Nersesian

I remember hearing about the fuck up, but never picked it up. Great interview, I'm excited about picking up anything by Nersesian now.
