Maybe you don’t know the name Greg Graffin offhand but everyone who’s anyone knows what Bad Religion is. They are the seminal punk band started in Los Angeles in 1980 on Epitaph Records which was formed by BR founding member Brett Gurewitz.

I got a chance to talk with BR band leader Greg Graffin just a few weeks before they went on their most recent tour. Graffin didn’t have anything specific to promote but both of us just thought it was a chance to let the SG community rip down the curtain and...

My boy has the most amazing BR tattoo ever. Ever. EVER.
He waited five years thinking about it, before he got it, and I picked the artist.
It is amazing~!
Okay, now I am off to read the interview...

After listening to BR for 10 years, I finally got a chance to see them play at the Sunset House of Blues. They sounded great live.

You don't come across too many bands that have the whole package:
1. Impressive music
2. Great Lyrics
3. The way the lyrics are worked into the song in an uncontrived manner
4. Intense and sincere performance
5. The maturity to achieve longevity in a chaotic industry

I would just like to thanks BR for sharing your artistic endeavors and wish them all of the best.

ARRR!!!

I don't think that link to BRs site is correct.

He's such a sexy intelligent man. Excelling at music and academia throughout the years... and being able to refer to either one as a "hobby"... I'll bet it'd be fun to be in his brain for a day.

Thanks for such a great interview!

At one Bad Religion show, when they got on stage and started to perform, this kid girl in front of me - turned to her friend and said, "Man, these guys are OLD!"

Honest, she said it!

I was one of those little kids, you see at shows sometimes, but only that was back in 1987 when I saw BR on the Suffer tour....Good interview....My favorite line is when he says, "No in fact some of them are just too disturbed to be any good in bed. They’re strictly for show." I thought that was pretty funny...

I was standing in line for a Alkaline Trio show about a year and a half ago, and there was a couple of kids walking up and down trying to score a ticket. One of them turnd to me and said "Sell me your ticket, you're too old to be going to gigs anyway" I could have strangled the little shite.

what i wanna know is--where does one get a PhD in evolution and religion at the same time!--I want to transfer there!--cuz I'm pretty sure my school only allows a PhD candidate to be in 1 department at a time--unless there's a special evolution/religion degree, which would be freakin awesome.
I like how Greg uses scientific words in his lyrics.
Nice interview!

nice interview

As we all know, Bad Religion is one of the greatest bands to hit the stage. They just get better with age, maturing on every album. So I just thought I'd lay some digital ink to support a great band.
