DANIEL ROBERT EPSTEIN: Bob Odenkirk

Due to his work on Saturday Night Live and the best sitcom ever, Get a Life, I was a fan of Bob Odenkirk's work before I even knew his name. I figured this whole timeline out years ago. Odenkirk may not realize it but he is the line from which most good comedy sprang from in the 90's. It starts off with SNL, then goes to Get a Life then to The Ben Stiller Show which led to his roles on The Larry Sanders Show and Newsradio. That culminated in him starting a sketch comedy show with David Cross called...

I had a chance to see 'Melvin...' earlier this year and it was great. The performances were superb. During the Q & A with Mr. Odenkirk afterward, a pint-sized woman piped up about how she was angry he didn't call her to be in the film. And that pint-sized woman was Janeane Garofalo... boy, did she look like she hadn't eaten in a while.

No wonder Bob didn't click with SNL...the man is a fucking genius. If I was a woman, I'd marry him. Hell, if he's willing to move to Massachusetts with me, we wouldn't have to worry about that at all.

YAY!! I fucking love Bob Odenkirk...I'm seriously obsessed with Mr. Show, I got to see them perform last October in SF and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I love that he's into GOOD comics!

I Heart The Pope

I love Bob and David. I'm so glad I got to see them and the D while they were still on HBO. I too saw Hooray For America, except it was in LA and they had more of the original cast in the show.

It was my shining moment in my Mr. Show cultdom.

That really does suck about Run Ronnie Run and Troy Miller. After watching it, you can feel Bob and David weren't a part of it, it just doesn't flow right. He directed a lot of their Mr Show segments (I think most of the movie spoofs like Coupon and Jeepers Creepers) and those were all great. I guess it was a pride/territorial thing.

I still want to see Melvin, think it comes out on DVD next month.

I love Bob Odenkirk, i love David cross as well. I actually have talked to bob odenkirk, my friend works at a cell phone place and we got a bunch of famous peoples phone numbers and called them, sarah jessica parker, kevin bacon, and Bob, but he was the only person that answered the phone. I told him that I pee in the shower.
