Bret Easton Ellis says: "This is the perfect storm of creative people to turn 'American Psycho' into an entertaining musical play. 'American Psycho''s essence is the high-flying 80s, the decadence and the music _ together, they are the equivalent of a spectacular train wreck you have to watch."
Do you think it'll do a better job than the movie of making people realize that the murders weren't all in Bateman's imagination? Because people seem to have trouble with that little fact...
I want to hear the song about stuffing a cat into an ATM, and of course, dismembering hookers in his central park facing appartment.

I wonder if they could get Huey Lewis to do the score?
They're talking about using Huey Lewis, Genesis and Talking Heads songs. So, like, Patrick Bateman singing "Hip To Be Square"? God, no.
It's a musical. It's a completely different mode of telling a story than the American Psycho we're familiar with and it can't be judged on the same basis. Personally, I can't wait to see him sing Hip To Be Square while axing away.
