This stuff tastes wonderful. It is smooth and light, with a wang to the flavor. It pairs well with morning Quinoa, fried tofu, or a nice spinach-alfalfa salad with thai peanut dressing.

It's the copious amounts of alcohol that are responsible for my ever broadening waistline, not the Diet Coke.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

The Diet Coke is responsible for my brain tumors.

Hehe. Seriously. Try divorcing yourself from mainstream cola for a while. The substream has more interesting views.

Actually, I mainly drink Diet Chek now (the Winn-Dixie generic brand). It started because I didn't want to support Coke, because they were a sponsor of the Beijing Olympics, and then I figured that it tasted approximately the same to me, and was almost half as cheap, so I've been continuing to buy it.

They make diet versions of most of their sodas, which is good for me, since I don't like the taste of real sugar.

I just don't dig on no wang flavor sodas, man. tongue

I do enjoy Pop Shoppe beverages when I can get them.

But it'll take a small miracle or medical emergency to make me give up Coke.

And can be found in nearly 1% of grocery stores! (Actually, that's probably too high a figure.)

I buy Coke because Coke is what's available.

Flashback. Chek was all my family could afford for a while when I was a kid. Then they got hooked to Diet Coke, which tastes like cancer and chemistry class to me. Diet Rite is the truly ghetto off-brand, imho.

Any cola that isn't RC Cola is a waste of shelf space.

Too bad I can hardly ever find it around here.

I love trying new softdrinks, but I think I tried cricket and wasn't into it. (I could be mixing it up with another brand that also used tea.)

Some of my favorites are CaneCola (made with real sugarcane, and a great mixer) and Black Cherry cola, both from Boylan.

Puma Cola (which has hints of vanilla, honey and cinnamon.)

Dr Enuf (a friend brought some back from a roadtrip)

I loved Jones Vanilla Cola and Pineapple upside down, but they are hard to find now.

I had pineapple ginger beer and regular ginger beer, which I wish I could find more often.

There was some high-caffeine content brand call Mixed XDrinx or something like that, which had natural flavors. I loved them, but I had to order them online. And I think they don't exist anymore.
