Was so awesome when Peter is back as Spidey in 2. The subway scene and Doc Ock! I loved that scene and the score.

Graeme Revell and Angelo Badamamenti are the first to spring to mind.

and Howard Shore.

for Graeme his work on the first two Crow movies, Sin City, Basketball Diaries, the Saint, and Boxing Helena....ok he also did the scores for Miss Congeniality 2 and Bride of Chucky...but those were just to pay the bills!

Badalamenti for his work with David Lynch and on City of Lost Children and Secretary. not so much for National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.

Howard Shore- Silence of the Lambs, Dead Ringers, the Cell, and Se7en. Eastern Promises was good too.

but my favorite score of all time. the most evocative of the emotion of the movie:

Graeme Revell's score to The Crow, bar none.

Hans Zimmer for Gladiator.

Jonathan Davis and Richard Gibbs for Queen of the Damned.

Shigeru Umebayashi for House of Flying Daggers

Tyler Bates for 300

Clint Mansell for The Fountain

James Horner for Legends of the Fall

Elliot Goldenthal for Interview with the Vampire

Too many others to name them all.

Bates is pretty much on my shitlist forever for blatantly copying from Elliot Goldenthal's score for Titus and failing to acknowledge it in any way. Since I can't trust him to produce his own work, I won't be buying any more music composed by him again.

As for some of my favorites:

Hans Zimmer/James Newton - The Dark Knight
Lain Ballamy - Mirrormask
Jaview Navarrete - Pan's Labyrinth
Simon Rattle - Perfume: The Story of A Murderer
Klaus Bedelt - Pirates of the Caribbean
Jonny Greenwood - There Will Be Blood
Elliot Goldenthal - Titus
Jeff Beal - Carnivale

I love the DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN part.

That theme reminds me of the first times I've seen the trailers. Such an awesome experience.

In all seriousness, I love most of Thomas Newman's work; and Michael Nyman's work for The Piano; and Bernard Herrmann's work in Taxi Driver; and Jonny Greenwood's work in There Will be Blood. Honorable mention goes to Mr. John Williams. While I wouldn't consider any of his my favorite, homie knows how to write a great and memorable score.
