The ads for Disaster Movie. And those little ads on the internet.
They like go over your screen. And do some kind of flash player thing.

Not to mention gaudy. And tacky. They're asking people to pay money for this crap in today's economy?

Annoying:

Any of those commercials for the "US Gold Mint" (small print: legal tender in Libera!!!) where they are constantly exploiting 9/11 with their stupid god damned gold leaf bills or coins or shit. And the announce has this slight lisp/whistle to his voice that makes me want to gag!

J.G. Wentworth: way to prey upon people's greed, my friend. Good job in deed. Douchebag. And, while you're at it, could you invest some more money into your advertisements, so they don't suck!?

Highly agree with these two! As for the 9/11 bullshit, it's now these ".999 pure silver" plates that are molded to look like $20 bills, and the announcer is speaking fast and is very poetic about how one side of the plates is normal, but the other side depicts the twin towers "standing majestically as they did that morning", and the numbers 9 and 11 are where the "20's" would be on a regular $20 bill. The sad part is, someone, somewhere, is cumming all over themselves about how patriotic these things are. puke puke puke puke puke

Actually to make matters worse the exact quote is that blah blah "standing majestically as they did on that fateful morning."

On that fateful morning...gets my goat.

Oh my God, it was worse than I remembered!

And the announcer's voice. There is something about it that makes me want to drive a rusty spike into both of my ears, so I never have to hear him speak again!

The better solution would be to drive a rusty spike through the part of his brain that controls speech.

I can't remember the product, but it shows a guy sitting by a water cooler. A female office worker stops, pulls his nose up, and drinks from his mouth like it's a drinking fountain.

Nasty.

Those damn VW commercials with the talking VW bug with the German accent. Fuck it is annoying. The one where its hitting on the lady is super creepy for some reason too.

UUGHHH!!! I had forgotten about those!! Haven't seen them around here, but was visiting a freind and they ran every other show. The first time or two I saw it, I wasn't paying that much attention, thought she was just kissing him or something. By the third or fourth time I had unfortunately realized what the shot really was. (it says something about being 'mouth-watering' on the ad - -the sick irony!!) Since my freinds live-in plays the TV 24/7 I spent the rest of the visit slightly nauseous!! puke

And I also want to add my absolute agreement for all who mentioned the awful 'make-a-buck-on-a-tragedy' crap, that they sell in the guise of being patriotic!! Nerve grating to start, the announcers voice, the cheesiness, everything; but worse is the fact that there are people out there circling such an event like vultures. It's depressing to think that there are those who can react to something like that by rubbing their hands together and drooling, while slopping together some way to make a profit off of it.

Another one that annoys me is the latest Wendy's commercial where the guy says that he's a "meatiterian". Freakin' stupid. I wish the woman across the table would inform him that he's an omnivore. That would take up valuable commercial time though.

I love meat and I want to reach through the screen and choke that douchebag.

Oh I don't even care about that.

He just sounds like the kind of thoughtless dick who makes people think I'm the devil for enjoying a fucking hamburger from time to time.

I don't pre-record everything and I don't always flip channels when they come on. It's not like I actively sit and pay attention but they do play in the background.

A DVR/TiVO. I cannot afford me one. I usually just keep a book handy when I'm watching TV so I can read a page or two during commercials.

Admittedly I'm super spoiled with my TiVo HD, Apple TV, Roku Netflix Player, and DVDs, but there's lots of other free options. None of them provide the ease of a pair of rabbit ears and a cheap TV, but the Internets are a wonderful place to find commercial-free entertainment.

But some are really good. Like the Burger King commercials. You don't see an angry guy in a hamburger costume everyday. Yelling to Subway YOU GOT NOTHING NOTHING!

Yes, but sometimes I like flipping through to see what's on TV. And sometimes there are programs on that I wouldn't normally think to download or seek out online or tape in advance. So I either have to tape them then or I can sit and watch them and deal with commercials.

And sometimes I like watching shows at their normal broadcast times instead of having to wait several hours to find them on the net or save eight minutes fast forwarding commercials.

This commercial came on when I started to read this post. There is a spin off for that commercial that says something along the line of "no sissy veggies". I also hate the wendy's radio commercials.
