I do like a good western, but Renee Zelwegger should be banned from movies forever.

This was exciting until they revealed Renee Zellweger. She's so terrible there's no way I can see this without hearing a score of favorable reviews first.

The Renee Zelwegger factor worries me. ( She should be blacklisted from acting ) Other than that it looks like a night out.
Jesus. What the fuck is with the Renee Zelweger hate?
I'll see this when it comes out, but I wonder why this film is being produced now. We've seen this film a thousand billion times, but that's also, yes, it's appeal. S'weird. Hopefully better than that historical rape-job, Hidalgo.

You watch your whore mouth when you talk about Hidalgo.

Ya but I didn't catch who the main bad guy was. I can't get into a western unless there's a showdown with a psychopathic badass.
It's Jeremy Irons, the most amazing man that ever lived and the only actor capable of delivering his lines in Eragon (worst movie in history of planet) with style and gravitas. Yay!
you've obviously not seen Manos: the... Hands of Fate.
Well, no... was it also based on a novel written by a 15-year-old?

No , but it was made by & starred a horse manure magnate And once you've seen Torgo & his freakishly big knees , you'll know that nothing says quality film making quite like Manos - the Hands of Fate .

i like her, but it looks to me like she's just the boobs of the movie. her lines will, i expect, all be variations on "please don't be a badass gunslinger," except one time towards the end when she says some variation on "go be a badass gunslinger". hard to see any actress ruining Ed Harris + Viggo Mortensen + Jeremy Irons, given such a limited role.
also, am i the only one who's noticed that Viggo is the second coming of Terrence Hill?

the movie was so bad, the actor who played the aforementioned Torgo killed himself.
it opens with what feels like a 20 minute driving scene with no lines or explanation.
it was filmed with a hand-held camera that was only able to film 32 seconds at a time, because it was hand-wound. it also couldn't record sound. everything was recorded later, supposedly by two men and one woman. the actress who played Debbie cried when she heard her dubbed voice.
look, it was so bad, Dr. Forrester and Frank apologized to Joel and the bots for having them watch it on Mystery Science Theater 3000, because while they purposefully send them bad movies they have to watch, that one was beyond horrible.
any western is better with Sam Elliot. the man is like if someone went back in time, and brought one of the toughest, hardest, yet most gentlemanly of the old West sheriffs back to the modern era.

I like how he plays the same old man (himself) in every movie. It doesn't matter if it's a Wyatt Earp flick or some children's fantasy movie with talking bears... you just can't go wrong with that guy. It's the knowing twinkle in his eye!
And I'm sorry but I'm never going to watch "Manos." You've successfully talked me out of it.
