SPOILERS! (Click to view)

  • give you up
  • let you down
  • run around and desert you
  • make you cry
  • say goodbye
  • tell a lie and hurt you

I believe that was Rick Astley, not Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise gave up on sanity long ago.

*facepalm*

I'm sorry... but you'll clearly see in the attached visual aids that Mr. Astley's consistency is well documented.

You gave them your personal info? Yikes. These folks are dangerous. Ever seen any other church protested simultaneously around the world? There's a reason the protesters and wear masks and call themselves Anonymous. They're not paranoid, just well informed.

I think the majority of people know my regard, or lack there of, for religion in general, but that aside, I strongly suggest you avoid this one at all costs. Although I'm less than fond of religion in general, I am tolerant of it. Scientology does not have my tolerance, earning it a singular distinction in that regard.

surreal

You are Mr. Religious Tolerance alright.

Your point?

you need your Thetan levels checked.

I'm an OG RP.

while it would be nice to stay on topic, i don't really know of much more to stay on topic with.

oh, i don't think anybody's called it a massive cult-like organization in this thread yet.

it's a massive cult-like organization with almost pyramid scheme tendencies.

there. did my part.

my purpose for going was to see with my own eyes what they had to sell. They kept re- assuring me that Scientology was a bona-fide religion , and they actually used those words, as if that would settle any doubt I had in my mind. The best part is the end of the film they lmake you view where the narrator says something along the lines of " Now , you don't have to walk out of here a believer and become a Scientologist , but you wouldn't shoot yourself in the head would you, throw yourself off a bridge , or some other stupid thing , so why would you walk out of here without becoming a member " there may be a little paraphrasing in that , but that was the jist of his words. I was actually a little frightened behind the closed doors, as it was only me and another woman , who was entranced , laughing along with the narrator and in complete agreement with everything he said.

in the industry, we call that "brainwashing".

while i can't say that the celebrities who are Scientologists are brainwashed, they're almost certainly blackmailed if they decide not to toe the cult line. the people in the centers? yeah, totally. granted, from everybody whose experience going on the tour i've read about or talked with paints a picture for me that say that the people who man the tour and testing section aren't exactly the most strong-willed people out there.

I'm pretty sure the 4chaners called themselves anonymous before this. And most likely it wasn't the result of ardent research, but because it "sounds cool". whatever
