As much as I like gadgets and some new technology, sometimes, some of it actually seems wasteful to me.

I don't know if all grocery stores are doing this, but recently my local Safeway got rid of all their paper tags, and went digital. Little digital readouts of prices on everything, and i'm sorry, I can read and see really well, but some of these things are hard to read, and I find them annoying. So I can imagine people who have a hard time seeing are none to pleased about this.

Even though I am all for reducing paper waste, and I am doing my part, I just find this a bit over the top.

whatever

I've never heard of this. What are they? LCDs, e-paper, something entirely different I've never heard of? Off the top of my head, I can think of a handful of reasons this might not be wasteful. At least, not wasteful from Safeway's bottom line perspective. I'd guess if they're more environmentally friendly than paper tags, it's not by much. Can you get a picture of these? I'm really curious.

What I hate is that nothing ever has a fucking price tag on it anymore. I realize they do that so they don't have to re-tag every time there are changes or sales or whatnot, but at least have the price listed SOMEWHERE in the general vicinity of the merchandise.

I don't care if it's paper or electronic or a fucking hologram, just please have the price available.
