if I were a real blue-collar guy, I'd be so fucking pissed about this. I mean, really, are you that fucking rich and bored to pretend that you're Joe Everyman?
"You're humbled by it," Mr. Edwards says. "You think, 'Oh, pah, digging a trench -- that's pretty simple.' It's not."

I have always thought it would be fun to play with a bulldozer or backhoe.
People pay to sky dive, is that an insult to paratroopers?
No, I think that's different. Though I've never been skydiving myself, it seems like a fairly easy thing to sign up for/pay for/get done, whereas this 'activity' just seems to be for corporate white-collar, management types to get their ya-yas out. In the article, they're described as "wealthy thrillseekers." "Corporate team-building exercises?" Come on...
Besides, the byline says "Steamboat Springs, Colorado" which is a goddamn greedhead ski town.

Don't forget riding in a tank and shooting something (inanimate).
I can't say this really bothers me. What pisses me off is when people pay to go kill baby elephants and "exotic" animals, or killing animals on game farms. If people want to play with construction vehicles, more power to you!
