i think the series was a great hook to get me to read the books.
season 2 was poorly poorly written (as are the parts of season 1 that deviated from the book). instead of the chills i got from season 1, i felt like i was given a shot to the neck and was completely numbed over. as for season 3, i am not a big fan of jimmy smits. already he's on my list to be tossed into the gulf stream.
want to know what i want to see? i want the scene where dexter takes cody out on his boat to go fishing and cody stabs the shit out of the fish.
Dexter is definitely my favorite show ever. It amazes me how creative it is and the characters involved. No matter how miniscule of a character, you feel for each and every one of them...

Great interview. I can't wait for the season to start. Im such a huge fan. Beef I have is, although there's a veritable Puerto Rican population in Miami, You surely should be able to find Cubans more often than Puerto Ricans. How about hiring some Cubans to play the characters? Their Puertorican accent playing Cuban kinda sends chills up my spine (in the wrong way).
