What books do you they made you read in school?

I have a total thing for horror so any H.P Lovecraft would have been amazing for me. Any suggestion's?

If that's the case, I'll go with

Anything from Pynchon, Kerouac, or Salinger.

My high school was pretty conservative.

I read Lord of the Flies, and it was great, we had to watch the film for it too, but that wasn't so great! I have to admit i don't remember what else i read at school that made an impression on me, which is a shame because i love English Lit.

Comic books. They would have gone down well.
