Is your life devoid of meaning and only an accumulation of the massive amounts of pop culture you ingest daily. We often define ourselves by what we watch ,listen to or read....it seems that more and more personal experience is no longer a means by which we define ourselves. Are our minds becoming a massive youtube experience or a pop culture wasteland.....? Does the camera tell the only truth..?

Society constantly inundates us with ocular pop-culture, auditory dissonance and various impositions. It's up to use to rise from the bombardment and forced conformity to eventually find ourselves to be individualistic and unique.

I define myself by how many times I make my friends go "oh no" actually. You should try it some time you get to have fun and people will always have a story to tell about you.

well .....no,actually I wrote this to see how entranced people are in pop culture.Im guilty myself.....the point being that we live a fake reality for the most part and are always in need of constant entertainment .... we are slowly becoming a alienated culture, more attuned to what we see on a screen that what is going on in reality. This makes us complacent to a ever growing Big Brother government which is little by little taking away our rights and gouging our bank accounts. We come to define moments in our life with episodes of t.v. shows and fictional characters as if they were actually real.It may in fact be the only way we can relate to each other....this may be one good aspect as pop culture creates a universal language which people can globally relate to.

Ahh, but pop culture varies based on age and region. What is seen as vital to one group doesn't even register for another group. So, your universal language would be pretty limited.
Oh, and next time, cover your mouth before you sneeze emo all over the place.
I cannot believe you are 32 years old and still thinking like this and writing like this.
That blows my mind far more than anything in this thread.
::edit:: If the things you've written accurately describe your personal peer group and life experience... I feel very, very sorry for you and your friends.

Sadly, yes.
Even worse, it's something like this:
You made me hate my life. I'ma go spraypaint crying skulls on my old high school gym now.
I dropped off the money exactly as per... look, man, I've got certain information, all right? Certain things have come to light. And, you know, has it ever occurred to you, that, instead of, uh, you know, running around, uh, uh, blaming me, you know, given the nature of all this new shit, you know, I-I-I-I... this could be a-a-a-a lot more, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, complex, I mean, it's not just, it might not be just such a simple... uh, you know?

You need to try to remember, what did you take, how much, and is there any left for the rest of us.
At Rex Kwan Do, we use the buddy system. No more flying solo. You need somebody watching your back at all times. Second off, you're gonna learn to discipline your image. You think I got where I am today because I dressed like Peter Pan over here?
