Natasha Lyonne is one of the greatest actors of her generation. But you wouldn't know that from talking to her. Hysterically funny, cynical and bitchy but in that fun way she is just a blast to talk to. Apparently she is not a fan of most of her movies but Die Mommie Die she'll talk about.

Die Mommie Die is stars and is written by playwright Charles Busch. Busch stars of ex-60's singer Angela Arden. When Angela's husband, Sol [Philip Baker Hall], discovers that she's having an affair with gigolo Tony Parker [Jason Priestley], Angela...

That interview was intense and kind of brutal in a funny way. I always like to see what independent actors have to say when they feel like Hollywood is fucking them over- Vincent Gallo right after Buffalo 66 came out had a pretty similar attitude.

But, um, do you guys have a spellchecker? There's at least half a dozen obvious misspellings and bad grammar constructions in the introduction.

i love this girl as well as chloe sevigny, and i am bothered to hear that these such amazing actresses are broke and bored. frown they really deserve better than that. but i love that natasha is a real person, not a faux hollywood starlet.

I like to think Natasha Lyonne is who would play me in a movie about my life. She's so funny and interesting, why I can't she be my new best friend?

I agree w/ cherryBOMB-- I've always imagined that Natasha L. was real honest and not like many other Hollywood (fake) stars-- but this article just proved my assumption. It's really terrible that Hollywood hires ridiculous untalented twigs for mainstream movies- but that's the way it is. That's why I'm a theatre person and not a film person. It's not that I have this anti-film snobbery- it's just that theatre has the capability of being more- real. (non profit, anyway.) -- I wonder if Natasha has done much theatre acting... unfortunately, i'm not up on her bio-- in any case... the mainstream film industry is taking over commercial theatre- so there is certainly no money to be made in being talented. It amazes me that someone like Natasha- who has been in so many well known movies (and dozens upon dozens more artsy/indie ones) is still waiting for her "big break." -- For every 30 perfect skinny actresses in Hollywood there is one character spot... fuck that. I hope Natasha gets her big break- and maybe even inspires hollywood to redefine their idea of beauty- cuz in my eyes, Natasha is one of the most beautiful girls in the film industry. Bah to Hollywood.

Awww... poor Natasha... i love how she's so honest... i though she was really comin up when i saw her in Kate & Leopold (which i went to because i was bored and felt like seeing a movie... it was the next movie showing.. saw it and loved it)... she's so cute and talented... Hollywood doesn't know what it's missin...

Yeah I first saw her in Slums of Beverly Hills and have been hooked since then. She is my hero. I even dug her performance in Freeway 2, which was a fucked up movie. I would love to see her hook up with either a Wes Anderson of Paul Thomas Anderson type film. That could be incredible.
