Diablo III was just recently announced! If you haven't checked it out, do so here.

I don't know how I feel about there only being 5 classes in the game, but I like the idea of being able to choose either gender for each of the classes. The cinematic teaser looks spectacular as well.

Eh, Diablo II didn't really do it for me. I really liked the classes, but the game got so repetitive...I never beat the jungle level just because I got bored with it.

I hope III can overcome that.

But I'm more interested in SC II.

Yeah -- Diablo II did get hella boring. I think things'll be better this time around. They were talking about class specific quests, more story, and more abilities.

I expect to play this non-stop for about three months and then never touch it again.

I expect to play for three months non-stop, then put it down for awhile, then crave it again and play it for another three months non-stop. Rinse and repeat.

I haven't really gotten into anything in the Diablo series, but this looks to change that. I must say I'm quite intrigued by everything I'm seeing and reading so far.

Then again if I was a true fan, I'd hate the shit out of it.

My dude has played this game nonstop since the beginning of time, and is super excited about D3.

Any word on if this is going to be pay to play? (We have a bet). wink

I think all Blizzard games that has multiplayer through battle.net is free to play online. So probably not.

I looo-ooove the graphics, but I'm more looking forward to SC2.

I don't understand the big quarrel over the graphics -- for all we know the later levels look more scary.

all my favorite games from college are getting sequels! diablo 3 will probably be good, starcraft 2 is already looking like they've done the impossible and improved on the original, but it's fallout 3 that's got me saving up money for a new PC.

As exciting as this is, the way Blizzard works (which is great by the way, because it leads to great games) I don't expect this to be out till at least 2010.
Till then I will anxiously watch the website for news.

I originally was frightened that the Witch Doctor looked to be a poor replacement for the Necromancer, but after checking out some of his various powers...he may just become my favored character.
