The script is already in the works. Sadly, it'll only be the fourth worst Batman film ever put out.
My suggestion for remade movies would be to remake some of the old silent-era films like The Man Who Laughs or The Hunchback of Notre Dame. They are some of the most brilliant and effecting tragedies in cinematic history, but you wouldn't know it because you can never find a copy of the old versions and the Disney version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame was a horrifying vivisection of Hugo's much bleaker intent (plus, nothing so compounds the agony of a lonely 14 year old who identifies with Quasimodo as Quasi effectively playing magical negro for someone else's sexual desire).
I say remke bad movie...like Plan 9 From Outer space ...but make them good....since there is so much crap out there remaking them good is a possibllity
