Ok. Even if you think I'm a complete moron, or at the very least, you loathe self-depreciation, humor me for a second.
I was incredibly amused by the least circumstantial event thus far today. But What does it mean?!
I had a Japanese cucumber in the fridge and the intent to transform the little plant into a delicious sunomono salad. I had my knife and cutting board out when I reached for the tiny melon. It had been so fresh and so clean clean. Now, though, to my horror, the cucumber had become, soiled, slimy, and sick. Disgusted, I ejected the creature into the garbage disposal's portal, and quickly flipped the switch. Agitated to the Nth, the cucumber of the rising sun, frantically spun downward into its roaring coffin, and in a blink was gone, like a cartoon rabbit down its hole. And I could almost read the onomotopoea in the air as I felt the corners of my mouth turn up. I was smiling like an idiot. and It was geat!

What are some little things, in your world, that fill you with delight for no apparent reason?

Waking up next to my kitty and hearing him purr is the perfect way to start the day. It's so soothing.

Actually when I used to work in this little cafe that had creme brulees, it was a personal delight of mine to be able to use the exciting blow torch to prepare them. It thrilled me every time.
