No Country For Old Men and Being There.

Being There is one if the best and beatifulist[sic] endings ever. It's just perfection.

Also, I've always found the last scene of The Terminator surprisingly moving.

I just watched this the other night.

But my vote is for Gone With the Wind.

Or

3:10 To Yuma, that had a great ending and had me sobbing like a baby.

Or

ET

Or

V For Vendetta

Oh man, I love the ending of Layer Cake. So damn awesome. I've gotta disagree on V, though. The dead people in the crowd is a little too cheesy for me. I love the rest of the film, but that one scene still bugs me.

Another one I should have thought of right away: The Sixth Sense.

One of the few scif-fi movies that I've seen that preserves the idea of temporal causality.

I am actually amazed at how many people think that the ending ruined the film. If you're not a fan of unconventional humor, you probably shouldn't be watching a Monty Python film.

"All right, sonny, that's enough. Just pack that in."

Kumonosu jô (Throne of Blood. i'll throw people a bone on that one's title)

Star Wars: Episode IV, A New Hope (you gotta admit, that's one of the most well known endings ever. it is one of the most referenced endings in pop culture, too. it's great because it will span the ages)

That and naked Kristanna Loken are the only redeeming parts of that film.

Very good call; I thought it ended brilliantly. Shame the preceeding 90 or so minutes are total hooey.
