Hello,

I hope it's ok to post this in here, I'm also putting it in the Comics group.

I'm writing an essay on the growth of online comics and how it is affecting the comic book industry. I've been searching and searching the net and cannot for the life of me find what I seek. But I am probably not looking in the right places...
So if anyone could help me out and maybe point me in the direction of some info, I would be extremely grateful. I am looking for:

* Numbers on how many people are actually involved in the business itself (writers, artists, publishers, editors, etc.) .

* An estimate on the number of people who read/buy/download comics.
