The "My town is on fire" threads from Current Events brought to bear this little tidbit from the town I grew up in. Certainly it doesn't equate to what is happening out west for most of us (as it happened well over 100 years ago). But it's still an interesting bit of Americana.

Thought some of you might be interested in it. I had no choice but to be interested. I grew up there.
